The Dirty Shirley combo is a 40-watt, 5881 powered single channel Classic Rock Amp designed by Dave Friedman based on a modified JTM 45 for players that seek that more Vintage, Classic Rock tone inspired by British Tube Amps from the 60’s and 70’s. The Dirty Shirley is also capable of producing many styles of music from blues to classic rock and Country by just adjusting the gain and master controls.
The Dirty Shirley 40 Watt Combo is handcrafted in the USA and utilizes tongue & groove, Baltic Birch construction housing a 16 ohm, 12” Celestion G12M Creamback. It is an incredibly versatile single channel amp with 2 X 5881 Power Tubes, 3 x 12ax7 Preamp Tubes and 1 x 5AR4 Rectifier Tube. Master volume, Gain controls and full EQ with Presence, Bass, Middle & Treble allow endless tonal options & settings.
The Dirty Shirley takes pedals very well and loves boosts, OD’s, phasers, flangers, tremolos, wahs, etc. The SmallBox also has an ultra-transparent series FX loop that takes time based FX pedals & rack units equally well.
